How it works

– Liveaboard / multi-day
– Captain optional
– Bareboat cert required

The fleet got smaller on purpose, and the operator tells the story that way. For years the boat was S/V Always Sunday, a Maine Cat 41 certified for 32 passengers, and the lesson the company draws from it is that most guests were not asking for a bigger boat. Today it runs two Maine Cat 30s, S/V Endless Summer and S/V Dolphin Breeze, and caps a trip at six: more deck to spread out on, more time with the captain, and better odds of seeing wildlife from a boat that is not full.

The three scheduled sails are a two-hour dolphin run, a two-hour sunset sail, and a three-hour island adventure into the Indian River Lagoon. All of them leave from inside Cape Crossing Marina on Marine Harbor Drive, which is on Merritt Island rather than in Cocoa Beach proper, about twenty minutes from the beach and close to Port Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center. Parties of seven to twenty are handled by taking both catamarans under a bareboat arrangement in which the group contracts the boats and the captains come with them, so nobody in the party is steering.
