How it works
✓ Liveaboard / multi-day
– Captain optional
– Bareboat cert required
Every trip is private, which shapes the whole offering: the boat carries six, and the itinerary is whatever the party asks for. The usual booking is a sunset sail on the St. Johns River out of Ortega, and the same boat does dinner cruises, river tours and photo charters. A catered picnic basket or a champagne service can be added, or guests bring their own food and drink.
The longer product is the interesting one for a sailing reader. Now and Zen, a 42-foot catamaran, goes out for a night, a weekend or a week with up to four aboard, island-hopping Amelia, Talbot, Cumberland and Jekyll to the north, or working up the river to Green Cove Springs and down the coast to St. Augustine. The operator’s own note on its standing is that USA Today has put it among Jacksonville’s top ten attractions and top ten romantic things to do.
