Capt. Dale Kamerzel started Ocean Sailing Inc. in 2000, has lived in the Florida Keys more than thirty years, and counts over ten thousand documented sailing charters across twenty-five-plus years of work, which makes this one of the longer-running sailing operations in the middle Keys. Sirius is the boat that did most of them: a Coast Guard inspected sailing catamaran, 36 feet by 24, certified for 24 passengers, and a wide stable deck is the reason the company puts larger groups on a cat rather than a monohull.
The scheduled trip is a sunset cruise of about two hours, with departure times moving through the season, leaving Safe Harbor Marathon Marina behind the Lazy Days restaurant on 11th Street Ocean. The same boat takes weddings, memorials and group charters, and custom private sails are arranged by phone rather than a booking widget. One point of fleet housekeeping: Siriusly Nauti, the company’s second boat, is a 25-foot Eastern Boats 248 Islander pilot house cruiser commissioned in February 2026 and carrying six, built new for expanded private tours. She is a motor boat. Sirius is the one that sails.
