Sweet Liberty has been sailing out of Naples since 1991, which makes her the fixture of the city’s waterfront. She is a 53-foot Gold Coast Yachts sailing catamaran certified for 44 passengers, the largest sailing cat in Southwest Florida by the company’s account, and she works from the Naples City Dock on 12th Avenue South, leaving down the Gordon River past the big houses and through the mangroves to Naples Bay and, weather permitting, out into the Gulf.

The daily schedule is sold by the seat: a sunset cruise, a beach-island shelling cruise, and an afternoon sightseeing sail. The whole boat goes private for weddings, corporate outings and memorial services at sea. One thing to keep straight when browsing the site: the company’s Sweet Tiki, a six-passenger floating tiki bar that runs Naples Bay and Keewaydin Island, is a motor boat. The catamaran is the one that sails.
