Small-boat sailing club on the Indian River Lagoon at Sand Point Park in Titusville: seasonal club racing, an annual regatta and Sail a Small Boat Day, and classes open to members and non-members.
The club is candid about where it stands, which earns it something. Founded in 1976, it spent decades as a fixture of Space Coast keelboat racing, drawing regattas that pulled sailors from across Florida; membership has since thinned, and the club says so plainly rather than hiding behind brochure copy. The current project is a rebuild: quarterly regattas coming back, a training pipeline for beginners, and a plan to grow past the current fleet, which the club itself describes, winningly, as “well-loved boats from the 1980s.”
The location does a lot of work. The club sails from Sand Point Park by the A. Max Brewer Bridge, on the stretch of the Indian River Lagoon directly opposite Kennedy Space Center. This is the water people drive hours to anchor in for launches, and club members sail it on ordinary weekends. A rocket climbing into the sky from the deck of a thirty-year-old keelboat is a Florida sailing experience no private club can sell.
In-house instruction runs now, and beginners are explicitly welcome. For anyone in Titusville who wants to sail without ceremony, or wants a club small enough that one new member changes it, this is the moment to turn up.

Power, sail, and social club organized 1980, on the Indian River Lagoon at Seaway Drive in downtown Fort Pierce. Monthly offshore PHRF races plus spring, fall, and all-ladies regattas; any YCA-club member is welcomed, with transient berths next door at the city marina.
