The school sails from Sabine Marina on Little Sabine Bay, tucked behind Pensacola Beach. The water options radiating from that dock are the quiet argument for learning here. Santa Rosa Sound for flat-water fundamentals, Pensacola Bay when you want room, the Gulf Intracoastal for pilotage practice, Perdido Bay to the west, and the open Gulf through the pass when the student is ready. A week aboard can touch all of it without ever being far from shelter.
Instruction runs on a Beneteau Oceanis 37 with ASA-certified, Coast Guard-licensed instructor-captains, and the format leans live-aboard: small classes, flexible scheduling, and courses built around couples, families, and groups of friends learning together rather than strangers assigned to a cockpit. The operation is in its twenty-third year of teaching and chartering, which on a beach strip where businesses turn over every other season is its own credential.
The day-sail side runs private six-hour charters for up to six, skippered by the same instructors: a sensible audition for the school, or just an afternoon on the Sound with someone easy-going on the helm. The 101 is discounted for veterans, active military, and reservists through ASA’s Veterans Sailing Education Program.
